A

A is for ALONE.

Babies should be put to bed all alone, on their backs, in their crib or cradle. You should NOT sleep next to your baby in your bed, on the couch, in a chair, or anywhere else.

Your baby should be the ONLY item in their crib/cradle. No blankets, pillows, crib bumpers, toys, stuffed animals, toys, etc. The risk of accidental suffocation increases with extra things in the crib.
